Stephen Miller

President

Stephen is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served honorably from 2005 to 2009, including a combat deployment to Iraq in 2008. He served as a 3521 Diesel Mechanic during his time in the Corps.

Stephen, a Grand Forks, North Dakota native, currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at the University of North Dakota, where he develops full stack web applications and supports cutting-edge research for Department of Defense contracts, work that keeps him connected to the mission-driven environment he experienced in the Marine Corps.

One the founding members of the North Dakota Warriors Hockey, Stephen now leads the organization as its President. He laced up his skates for the first time in 2021 and quickly fell in love with the sport. For Stephen, Warrior Hockey is about restoring the camaraderie and brotherhood that many veterans miss after leaving the military. Hockey's fast pace and demand for teamwork make it a sport veterans naturally gravitate toward — success on the ice, like in the military, is always a team effort.

As President, Stephen is committed to growing the North Dakota Warriors Hockey and expanding its reach so that more disable veterans across the state have a place to compete, connect, and belong.
